The country has been constructing industrial parks at various locations including Addis Ababa (capital city), Adama (100kms from Addis), and Hawassa (Southern Ethiopia). There are also a plan to construct an industrial park in Dire Dawa (Eastern part of the country), Kombolcha, Mekelle, and Jimma (). It is learnt that these industrial parks attracted foreign investors from Taiwan, India and South Korea in the area of textile and apparel, food processing, pharmaceuticals, furniture, house appliance, electronics and electrical equipments, etc.

A UK Asset Management Company invested USD $ 150 million on Dashen Brewery which gives it 51% ownership of the brewery.
